Tips for Coloring Mens Hair

Growing older is a part of life and gray hair, wrinkles and loss of energy can be expected. When using hair coloring, keep in mind that it can be messy and will stain clothing, towels and skin. Wear gloves when applying the coloring to the hair and be sure to wipe off any coloring that touches the skin right away to avoid staining. The stains are tough to remove and sometimes will remain on the skin for several days before they wear off.

Touch Ups

Maintain the colored hair with touch ups. There is no need to color the entire head of hair each time; usually a root touch up will do. You can store unused coloring that has not been mixed for up to three weeks. Just mix the amount you need in a separate container and store the rest to help save money on your hair coloring needs. Make sure you buy some extra plastic gloves to keep on hand as only one set comes with the kit and they cannot be reused. If you are saving solution for another treatment, another pair of gloves will be needed.
